The Jesus Club crew took a break in December, and so, here’s a double bill of updates as we look backward at Christmas and forward at what’s in store for both clubs in 2023.

With much thanksgiving to God, JC@BA ended the year on a high note with a big turnout at our year-end Christmas party. It was wonderful to gather as a Jesus Club family, together with our guests, to celebrate the birth of our Saviour.
The highlight of the night was the dance segment. As a volunteer led a dance, many of our members enthusiastically joined her on stage, and together, we praised God through song and dance.
Fast forward to 2023. We started the year with much festive cheer as we gathered in homes to celebrate CNY with dinner and craft.

In the first half of 2023, we will continue with the second part of the Two Ways to Live series, where we will learn how to live as followers of King Jesus. In the second half of the year, we will learn from the book of Genesis. Please pray for all of us to see the incomparable worth of pursuing a life of holiness in Jesus.

We thank God for the 6 new friends who joined us at our Christmas party! We enjoyed some traditional Christmas fare for dinner, had fun dressing our friends up as snowmen, and danced together. Most importantly, we learned that Jesus is the present we all need, and we need to receive Jesus in order to live with God forever.

More recently, we had a sizzling start to the new year (and lunar new year) as we welcomed everyone back with a BBQ reunion dinner. We’re not sure what traditionalists would say about a BBQ to ring in CNY, but we sure had a good time! It was great to see old friends again and welcome new friends into the JC family. As family gatherings go, we ate (too much!) together, played together, sang together, and prayed together.

And to whet your spiritual appetites, here’s what we’ll be learning this year at JC@BFEC. Please pray for God to empower us to teach His Word faithfully, clearly and creatively, and for all of us to have soft hearts that will believe and obey.
